Lake Hévíz in Hungary is the largest swimmable thermal lake in the world containing slightly radioactive waters that have therapeutic effects.
On its shores there are Hévíz spa facilities located, which focus on treatment of chronic bone and joint diseases.
The lake is also the second largest thermal one preceded only by Frying Pan Lake in New Zealand, which is too hot for swimming.
