Japanese brothers Rihachi and younger Rizo started a shop selling sundries including sports equipment in Osaka in 1906.

In 1907 they began to sell order-made athletic wear.   

The sports equipment and sportswear company once even ventured into manufacturing gliders to commemorate its 30^th anniversary back in 1936.

Nowadays the company employs 3,700 employees and has net sales of $1.6 billion USD.
