STOP WAR IN UKRAINE!

The State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg hires cats to protect the artwork against rodents.

The Hermitage cats, as they are called, live in basements, the source of most rodents.

Each cat is given its name by the museum staff and they have their own holiday on  March 28, when they receive special treats.

The team is made up of alley cats and the history of hiring them dates back to the 18th century.
