We tend to think of beauty contests (or beauty pageants) as competitions which decide the physical beauty of women.

However, according to a report on Reuters, a tribe in Saudi Arabia is having a contest to find the most beautiful camel.

And how will judges decide the winner of Miss Camel?

“The nose should be long and droop down, that’s more beautiful,” Sultan al-Qahtani, one of the organizers of the event, said.

“The ears should stand back, and the neck should be long. The hump should be high, but slightly to the back.”

WORDS
to tend: to have inclination or tendency.
to droop: something going or bending downward, to hang down.
hump: a raised area, a small hill.
slight: small in amount or degree.
