after verbs “describe and regard”:
 The boss regard you as the best employee of the whole company.

Like
– “similar“: 
He looks like his father. 
Her hair was like silk. 
– “for example“: 
Robert enjoys sports like ice hockey, table tennis and soccer. 
My students are not interested in things like writing essays or reading books of the last century. 
in a way that suggests:
You look like you have not slept for two nights. 
They really act like they are foolish!
