We all know what recycling means. 

For example scrap paper can be recycled and then re-used for the production of new paper, thereby saving trees. 

But have you ever heard about upcycling? 

Upcycling is the creative re-working of used waste or unwanted items into new materials or useful products. 

So both recycling or upcycling help the environment.
