If you like to get dirty, then we have found the sport for you.
The international Swamp Soccer World Cup 2024 will be held in July.
The rules are similar to ordinary soccer. However, it is played in the mud.
A player must keep moving at all times or he (or she) will sink in the mud.
The sport was started by Finnish skiers as a way to train in the summer.
WORDS
swamp: very wet and soft land.
mud: a mixture of earth and water, especially after rainy days.
sink (sank, sunk): to go down below the surface.
