Adidas And Puma Were Founded By Two Brothers

Simple News in English

Adidas and Puma are synonymous as manufacturers of sports footwear, apparel and equipment.

These trademarks are recognised worldwide as the leading innovative sports brands.

Adolf Dresler started a successful company focusing on producing sports shoes as early as 1924 and his older brother soon joined him in the company.

Adolf produced his first sports products in his mother’s small laundry room.

A family feud between the brothers meant that the original company was split up. Rudolf set up his own firm Puma in 1948. The Adidas trade mark was founded a year later in 1949 by Adolf.
