A new study in the United States has found that echinacea may be good for colds.

Echinacea is a remedy that is made from purple coneflower.

The study, which was written in The Lancet, found that echinacea can reduce the chances of a person getting a cold by 58 percent.

This contradicts a study published in 2003 which said that echinacea does not help prevent colds.

WORDS
cold: a common infection in the nose and throat.
to reduce: to make something smaller.
to contradict: to be the opposite.
