Although we live in a global economy, there are many advantages to buying goods and services that are produced near where you live.

If you trade with local businesses then you are not only helping an area’s economy by providing jobs and investment in the community, but you are also helping the environment as well. Goods don’t have to be delivered long distances, and the consumer uses less gasoline.

What’s more, buying local goods can add more character to a community and can create a friendlier atmosphere within that community.
