Skype, a computer communications application, has introduced an interpreting service Skype – Translator.
Currently up to 50 languages can be automatically translated as chat messages are typed.
Additionally Skype can, in almost real time, translate English, Spanish, Italian and Chinese from the spoken word into another of these languages as an almost simultaneous spoken interpretation service.
Google set up a similar service, translating from 38 languages.
